LADDERS & STAIRS
Ladders and stairs provide a safe means of access that is comfortable to the user and easy to use. Made from lightweight, high strength and long lasting aluminium, they are maintenance free, highly configurable and suit many different applications and locations.
The treads and rungs are also ergonomically designed and slip resistant for maximum grip and hold, eliminating trip and fall hazards.
LADDERS
Ladders allow access to any kind of elevated area, including rooftops, ceiling spaces, between roof levels and elevated platforms, and can be installed vertically or on an angle depending on the application. Examples of ladder systems include:
- Mini access ladders to provide safe access between varying roof levels
- Cage ladders to protect against falls whilst climbing
- Ladders fitted with a vertical mounted static line system
- Portable ladders for attaching securely to ladder brackets
- Pull or fold down ladders for internal ceiling or roof access
- Step ladders for access to elevated areas and between varying roof levels
- Lockable gated ladders to prevent unauthorised entry
STAIRS
Stairs offer a more comfortable approach to roof access and allow workers to carry loads safely over obstacles. They can be matched with guardrails and kneerails for added protection and stability. Examples of stair systems include:
- Step bridges for access over dangerous locations/voids and moving machinery
- Stairs for access between varying roof levels
- Stairs to provide frequent access to areas requiring periodical inspections
- Stars for access to plant and production machinery for maintenance, loading and unloading
LADDER & STAIR COMPLIANCE
All the ladders and stairs we use in our fall arrest and roof access systems have been designed, manufactured and independently tested in accordance with requirements of the following Australian Standards:
- AS1657:2013 – Fixed Platforms, Walkways, Stairways And Ladders — Design, Construction And Installation
- AS/NZS 1891.4 – Industrial Fall-Arrest Systems And Devices - Selection, Use And Maintenance
MAINTENANCE OF LADDERS & STAIRS
Visual inspection for any damage or loose fixings along with basic wear and tear preventative maintenance is recommended periodically, however no certified maintenance is required. Ladders fitted with a vertical static line system must be inspected and re-certified by a competent person at least every 12 months as per the requirements of Australian Standard AS/NZS 1891.4:2009 Section (9).
