STATIC LINES

Static lines are a permanent safe access system that provides users with continuous attachment to the fall arrest system via a “pass through” traveller action over anchor points. This system ensures freedom of movement and constant operator attachment.

WHEN TO USE STATIC LINES

Static lines provide a high level of safety for workers and maintenance personnel and can be used for general access to roof mounted plant and equipment, cleaning of skylights, roof lights or elevated windows, or used for effective fall protection over brittle roof surfaces, skylights, glass, slate and asbestos roof decks.

STATIC LINE APPLICATIONS

Static line systems incorporate low profile componentry that can be easily powder coated to blend in with their surroundings. They can be used in horizontal, vertical and overhead applications as well as curved to go around objects and can be attached to the following:

  • Metal purlin roof
  • Timber purlin/truss
  • Metal roof deck
  • Concrete and steel support structures

STATIC LINE COMPLIANCE

All the static lines we use in our fall arrest systems have been designed, manufactured and independently tested in accordance with requirements of the following Australian Standards:

  • AS/NZS 1891.4 – Industrial Fall-Arrest Systems And Devices - Selection, Use And Maintenance
  • AS/NZS 1891.2 – Industrial Fall-Arrest Systems And Devices - Horizontal Lifeline And Rail Systems

MAINTENANCE OF STATIC LINES

As per the requirements of Australian Standard AS/NZS 1891.4:2009 Section (9), fall arrest systems and equipment must be inspected and re-certified by a competent person at least every 12 months. Click here to learn more.
